VR53 easy chair with armrests extends Richter’s original concept into a more enveloping and relaxed typology. The mirrored wooden structure forms a sculptural X-shaped base that appears both stable and visually light, gently supporting the soft upholstered volumes above the floor. Integrated armrests enhance the lounge-like comfort while preserving the clarity and geometric discipline of the construction, balancing softness, precision and ease.
Vjenceslav Richter worked across architecture, art and design — treating them as one continuous field. As part of EXAT 51 and New Tendencies, he helped shape a culture of experimentation that connected Zagreb to an international network of ideas.
Richter+ is a collaborative platform that brought together the design studios Numen/For Use, Neisako and Grupa to develop the Richter Collection in partnership with Prostoria's in-house R&D team.
